T.J. Otzelberger’s first season at the helm of Iowa State men’s basketball will feature a new leading scorer.

Junior guard Rasir Bolton has entered his name into the transfer portal and will seek a new school as a graduate transfer. This leaves the Cyclones with three scholarships open for the spring recruiting period.

Bolton, a native of Petersburg, Va., arrived at Iowa State as a transfer from Penn State prior to the 2019-20 season. He averaged double-digit points in each of his two years as a Cyclone, including a 15.5 point on 45.9 percent shooting from the field output for the program this past season to lead the team during its 2-22 campaign.

Bolton was named third-team All-Big 12 for his efforts in 2020-21.
