The recruiting world has slowed recently due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that did not keep Iowa State from landing a commitment on Tuesday.
Three-star Illinois linebacker Aidan Ralph announced on social media he has committed to Matt Campbell’s program, giving the Cyclones their first defensive commitment of the 2021 recruiting class and fifth commitment overall.
Ralph, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect, is rated as the No. 102 outside linebacker in the 2021 class by 247Sports and is considered the No. 39 player in the state of Illinois. Iowa State was his only reported scholarship offer at the time of his commitment.
Iowa State’s 2021 recruiting class is currently rated as the No. 40 class in the country and No. 7 class in the Big 12.
