Iowa State has been picked sixth in the Big 12’s preseason coaches poll. The Cyclones received 41 points in the voting, seven points behind co-fourth place finishers Texas and TCU.
Kansas was picked to win the Big 12 for the eighth consecutive year while receiving nine first-place votes, which is basically a unanimous selection considering coaches cannot vote for their own team.
Kansas State and West Virginia rounded out the top three, receiving 72 and 61 points, respectively. The Wildcats received one first-place vote, presumably from Kansas’ Bill Self.
Texas Tech and Oklahoma are picked seventh and eight in the poll while Baylor and Oklahoma State were unanimously selected in ninth and tenth place.
