Former Iowa State star Allen Lazard likely made himself some money on Saturday.

Entering this weekend’s NFL Combine in Indianapolis, the biggest question mark surrounding Lazard’s draft prospects was centered on his top-end speed. He put some of those questions to rest by running a 4.55 40-yard dash which is comparable to other high-end big receivers.

Lazard’s other Combine marks include 17 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press, a 38-inch vertical leap and a 10-foot-2-inch broad jump. As of this writing, Lazard sits in the top-five for receivers in vertical leap, top-10 in the bench press and top-15 in the broad jump.

As of this writing, Lazard’s marks for the three-cone drill, 20-yard shuttle and 60-yard shuttle are not available. We will update this post with those outputs once they are.

Regardless of how those numbers shake out, Lazard definitely made some headway in proving some of his doubters wrong on Saturday.
