RECRUITING: Iowa State lands commitment from Tyrese Haliburton

Iowa State has landed a commitment from three-star point guard Tyrese Haliburton. The 6-foot-5, 170-pound Oshkosh, Wis. native announced his decision via his Twitter account Monday evening.

Haliburton, who is rated as the No. 177 player in the country by 247Composite, is Iowa State’s second commitment in the past week joining four-star forward Zion Griffin. The Oshkosh North product chose the Cyclones over a final five that also included Cincinnati, Nebraska, Minnesota and Northern Iowa.

He is set to take an official visit to Iowa State the weekend of Sept. 28. The No. 5 prospect in Wisconsin’s commitment leaves the Cyclones with two spots left to fill in its 2018 recruiting class.
