RECRUITING: Four-star big man Isaiah Stokes set to visit ISU on Sept. 24

Four-star post player Isaiah Stokes will officially visit Iowa State the weekend of Sept. 24, a source confirmed to Cyclone Fanatic on Monday. Travis Hines of the Ames Tribune was the first to report.

The 6-foot-8-inch, 273-pound, Tennessee native is rated as the No. 60 player in the country by ESPN. He’s the No. 12 center in the country and second best player in the state of Tennessee.

Stokes is the brother of NBA player, and former Tennessee standout, Jarnell Stokes. He also holds offers from North Carolina, Tennessee and VCU.

Besides just his exploits on the hardwood, he’s a force on the football field with his 247 profile listing offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and handful of others.

Stokes is obviously a big body that moves really well up and down the court. He’s got good touch down low and his highlight videos show some ability as a passer.

Also, he broke a freaking backboard in an AAU game.

The Sept. 24 weekend will be a big one for Iowa State with four-star point guard Lindell Wiggington also set to visit. That could change as the Oak Hill Academy standout is set to visit Oregon, who is considered the frontrunner for his services, this weekend.

This all comes after Iowa State picked up their third commit in the 2017 class in the form of Texas guard Darius McNeill on Monday. Wisconsin forward Terrence Lewis and Mississippi big man KeyShawn Feazell committed to Iowa State in August.

Needless to say, Steve Prohm and his staff are finding their stride when it comes to getting big-time prospects on campus.
