Iowa State men’s basketball program can check one off their list of eight scholarships to fill for the 2017-18 season.
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein has reported that 6-foot-8-inch, Tennessee transfer forward Ray Kasongo has signed scholarship papers with Iowa State following a visit earlier this week. He’ll sit out one season before playing two more.
The Toronto-native averaged 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds per game during his only season with the Volunteers.
He played his first season of college basketball at the College of Southern Idaho where he averaged 6.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 15.6 minutes per game.
