The term "celebrated" can be overused, but it’s perfectly apt when describing the career of ISU forward Georges Niang.
Thursday morning, another presason honor rolled in as Sports Illustrated dubbed the skilled big man a first team All-American.
SI.com called Niang a "well-rounded 6’8" forward," and noted his ability to both rebound and dish out assists while remaining constant scoring threat. Niang averaged 15.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season.
Kyle Wiltjer of Gonzaga, Buddy Hield of Oklahoma, Marcus Paige of North Carolina and Ben Simmons of LSU joined Niang on SI‘s preseason first team.
