ISU statement on Devlyn Cousin

ISU defensive tackle Devlyn Cousin, a 291-pound sophomore, announced on Twitter today he’s leaving the team.

Cyclones coach Paul Rhoads said Cousin intends to transfer to another school.

Here’s Rhoads’s complete statement (below), courtesy of ISU Athletics Communications:

Statement from Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads

"Devlyn and I met last night and he informed me of his decision to leave the football team and his intention to transfer to a school that is a better fit for him. He is going to stay in school at Iowa State for the rest of the fall semester and we will help him in the transfer process. We wish him success in his future."
