Former Cyclone guard Bryce Dejean-Jones has reportedly signed a multi-year deal with the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans, according to multiple reports.
RealGM.com was among the outlets reporting the news late Friday afternoon.
Dejean-Jones, a 6-6 UNLV graduate, averaged a career-low 10.5 points last season for ISU. The athletic one-and-done transfer shot a career-best 34.7 percent from 3-point range, but hit a career-worst 41.3 percent overall in 33 games in his lone season with the Cyclones.
His contributions to ISU waned as last season wore on — and he scored zero points in five minutes in the shocking second-round NCAA Tournament loss to ISU.
Dejean-Jones averaged 12.8 points for the Pelicans this summer.
“Life is a learning experience full of ups and downs that we can learn and grow from and get better,” Dejean-Jones told RealGM.com in April. "Or we can let them defeat us. I played for great coaches, some very talented teams and top notch universities. Along the way, there were challenges and I made some mistakes. I own up to them. They’re stepping stones to help me grow and mature.”
