New Year’s Eve is mostly known for good football. Iowa State will be playing hoops on the final night (6 p.m. on Cyclones.tv) of 2013 though. The Cyclones are 11-0 and would join Bill Fennelly’s women’s program with a perfect non-league record heading into Big 12 play with a win over Northern Illinois from the MAC.

The Huskies enter tonight’s contest with a 5-5 record and no impressive wins on its resume. Northern Illinois has however won three of four.

What will Iowa State be working on this evening? What is the current mindset of this program after recently winning the Diamond Head Classic?

Fred Hoiberg talked about all of these topics and more during his Monday press conference. See what the coach had to say right here on CFTV.
