Iowa State’s ongoing case with the NCAA regarding inadvertent and impremissible phone calls and text messages has been resolved and close. Iowa State sent out the following press release earlier today.

AMES, Iowa – The NCAA’s Committee on Infractions (COI) released today its final report on a two-year-old review of inadvertent and impermissible phone and text messages self-reported by Iowa State University 22 months ago. The Committee’s findings were consistent with the self-report submitted by Iowa State University and the case is now closed.
Iowa State Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard comments:
“The Committee on Infractions has concluded its work and agreed with our findings and our self-imposed penalties. The violations were inadvertent and did not result in any competitive advantages. Our athletics staff cooperated fully with the NCAA throughout the process. We were proactive in reporting our findings and have made changes in our monitoring systems as a result.”
