According to the Tampa Bay Times, Iowa State has received a football commitment two days before National Signing Day.
That prospect is Justin Madison, a 6-foot-4, 210 pound linebacker out of Tampa, (Fla.) Robinson.
Madison chose Iowa State over offers from Wake Forest, Miami and South Florida among others. Cyclone Fanatic spoke to Madison on Friday afternoon as he was traveling to Wake Forest for a last minute visit.
According to a source, Miami made yet another last minute effort to secure Madison over the weekend.
Madison told Cyclone Fanatic on Friday that Iowa State is projecting him as a WILL linebacker at the next level.
Madison, a 4.0 student, is the third known linebacker commitment in Iowa State’s class of 2013. He is the 24th known verbal commitment in the class, which is listed below.
