Numerous sources have confirmed that Iowa State’s secondary coach and recruiting coordinator, Chris Ash has accepted a position at Wisconsin. It is also being reported by www.footballscoop.com.
Chris’ Take: Being that it is the day after Iowa State signed one of its best recruiting classes ever, this obviously isn’t good news. Chris Ash is a very well liked man in Ames and will be missed. He’s a fearless recruiter and will more than likely be a defensive coordinator at a BCS school sooner rather than later. I like to look at it like this though. If there are other successful programs coming after Iowa State assistants, that means that the program is heading in the right direction.
