Thomas claims that Utah and Louisiana Tech were both seriously recruiting him, along with the Cyclones.

Along with Thomas, Rivals.com has added another commitment to their Iowa State football database. That’s Rivals.com four-star Palomar C.C. cornerback Anthony Young. According to his profile, Young had offers from Colorado State, Middle Tennessee State, Nevada and Utah State, along with Iowa State.

Chris Ash is credited with being he primary recruiter.

Chris’ Take It appears as if Iowa State had a very successful recruiting weekend. As of early Sunday evening, we’ve learned about three commitments. A four-star cornerback is on that list along with a JUCO defensive end (Rony Nelson) that will be on campus for spring ball.

According to CycloneReport.com’s database, Iowa State now has 22 known football commits. With the additions of Young and Thomas, four defensive backs are currently included in the class of 2010.
