Aaaaand cue the flames.......
<insert>nuke it from orbit gif</insert>
Wish there was a video of it.
That 'Nature is Scary' page is fun although I don't like the celebrity gossip they seem to post.
Oh alright already....
This is how I prefer my exterminator:
She’s being very safety first. Less clothes to catch on fire.
But...cue the 5th grade science teacher...spiders are our friends. They eat bugs.
I hate everything now. Thanks.
Isn't this how The Last of Us game starts?
Only one solution to this one.
If you look in to it the spider basically just gets covered in fungus to the point where it eventually dies. The ant thing is really ******* creepy because the fungus actually affects the ants behavior so the fungus has a better chance of spreading its spores after the ant dies.
In my link above the wasp larvae affect the spider's behavior and essentially enslaves the spider to do its bidding until not needed anymore - then the wasp kills and sometimes eats the no longer needed spider.
The specificity of the compelled behaviors in these cases is really interesting and super creepy.
