This is the best I have found in cans so far at my hyvee (That comes in something bigger then a 4-pack). Boulevard is releasing some cans this week in KC. Other markets to follow.

For IPA lovers, Ranger comes in 12 pack cans. My go-to for tailgates.

10 is such an arbitrary number...
how about 21, sorted in approximate auto-biographical order (bonus points for the reference):

  • Ayinger Celebrator - even after all these years, still my #1 favorite
  • Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout
  • Aventinus - meal in a bottle
  • Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter
  • Boulevard Doublewide
  • 3 Floyds Alpha King - boo, no more distribution to IA :(
  • 3 Floyds Robert The Bruce
  • Surly Furious
  • Hofbrau Dunkel - fresh from the tap in Munchen
  • Goose Island Matilda
  • Trappistes Rochefort 10
  • Boulevard Saison Brett - probably my favorite U.S. beer
  • Bells Special Double Cream Stout
  • O'Fallon Wheach - my summertime jam
  • Brau Brothers Moo Joos
  • Breckenridge Vanilla Porter
  • Capital Brewery Oktoberfest - if I could only drink 1 beer the rest of my life
  • Two Brothers Dumaine DuPage
  • New Belgium Shift - my other summertime jam
  • Unibroue Trois Pistoles
  • Surly Hell - yay, Surly distribution to IA :)

This thread proves that I haven't tried nearly enough different beer. Don't even recognize a lot of the stuff mentioned. Typically just grab coors or bud due to price. I do really like most of what Leinenkugels kicks out specifically Sunset Wheat on a hot day and enjoy the Clone from Olde Main. I had one at Moosejaw up in the Dells a few years back that was similar to the Clone but way better.

Really like trying new stuff so its time to broaden my beer horizons. I vow to have a legit top 10 of random beer by the end of summer!

I'm going to drop Surly Wet as it's status is a little bit up in the air, and add Oskar Blues' Pinner IPA. I can't get enough. For those unfamiliar with it it's a lower alcohol (or session) IPA with a lighter body but killer hop flavor. Perfect summer beer, and since it's Oskar Blues, it's canned.

Was drinking Oskar Blues' Old Chub Saturday. (sounds odd). Decent, not a McKewns but what is.

3. Busch light

I've got a somewhat complicated method you should try to ensure you get the best flavor possible. A couple years ago, the wife and I played slow pitch and showed up at the first game with a cooler full of beer. Somebody put a bunch of Busch Light in and didn't finish it so it came home with us. I forgot the cooler in my trunk until the next week but left em in, dumped out the warm water, and filled the cooler with more ice and beer. Repeated that process a few more times before I finally drank one. Absolutely divine.

Curious is anyone has ever tried Monchshof Festbier? Had it a few years ago at Hessen Haus as a specialty beer. It blew me away. Nothing, to me, has come close since.

isn't that the only way to drink Busch light let it get warm then had some ice and you're ready to go

Blasphemy! 2012 Wet was incredible. I didn't get to try last year's version though. I'll give you credit with Pinner though because its a fantastic session.

Now I'm gonna swing my beer nerd **** around and list off my 10, in no particular order:

Crooked Stave - Wild Wild Brett Violet (This is my #1)
Cigar City - Rum BA Cafe Americano
New Glarus - Sour Fruit (Very Sour Black Berry)
Goose Island - Bourbon County Rare
Goose Island - Bourbon County Coffee 2014
Goose Island - King Henry
Jester King - Montmorency vs Balaton
Perrenial - BA Abraxas
Cantillon - Fou Foune
Surly - Abrasive

Honorable Mention: Tree House - Good Morning

Freakin nerd.

I just got back from Boston and Tree House. They're incredible.

Where are you located? Cybyassociation enjoys sharing bottles.

I'm on the west side of Des Moines...

If we got like 5-10 of us, we might be able to get some pretty serious beer together!

I had Julius this past weekend and I would say it was in my top 3 beers ever.

2012 was the peak for Wet. 2013 was down from that, and I think they didn't make any in 2014 due to the new brewery project.

Hence it's drop from my list.
