XC - NCAA Cross Country Championship

Great day for the Cyclones, particularly for the Men. I did not see that coming but honestly the coaching staff seems to always do a great job having them ready to run.
Nice finish by the men's team!
Gals were among only a couple "northern" schools in the Top 20 finishers. Paityn Noe, the Iowan recruit that got away, was the 4th finisher for Arkansas. She was their #1 earlier. Not sure if she was hurt some or just excelled at the shorter distances earlier in the season.

High (Good) Note: ISU Men finished 2nd at this year's XC championships on Saturday!
Low (Sad) Note: It was 39 years ago today that the ISU Women's team was devastated by a plane crash that killed 3 runners and 2 coaches while returning from finishing 2nd at that year's nationals. I remember hearing the news on campus and being stunned as I was an avid runner at the time.
