Yup. 12 more positives within the program, including Paul Chryst.Badgers cancel their game against Nebby.
Oh I completely agree but if you are the the B1G you can't backpedal on the player safety statements they had put out when they shut it down.
If Wisconsin doesn't play against Purdue next week, they have to play against Michigan two weeks from now in order to still be eligible to play in the Big 10 Championship. If Wisconsin doesn't play Purdue next week, Purdue has a tremendous opportunity to pull off the impossible and make the title.
@ Illinois
@ Wisconsin (maybe)
vs. Northwestern
@ Minnesota
vs. Rutgers
vs. Nebraska
@ Indiana
Missing Wisconsin would mean Purdue would only have to lose @Minnesota and @indiana and they'd be in the title game.
Wisconsin is the only team (so far) that has a problem. Illinois hasn't come out with anything regarding positive cases or a spread. It's much more likely the whole works folds.
This would start to show up about now if Illinois has an issue...likely a whole bunch of nervous fighting Illini players right now.Wisconsin is the only team (so far) that has a problem. Illinois hasn't come out with anything regarding positive cases or a spread.
Absolutely. So far, nothing has come out but we'll just have to wait and see. This would start to show up about now if Illinois has an issue...likely a whole bunch of nervous fighting Illini players right now.
They did the right thing and thought it over and did the absolute wrong thing.
Old school wisconsin could probably line up and just run the ball, throw it like 5 times or something.
Wisconsin took advantage of the ineptitude of their commissioner. Wisconsin's new QB is now going to be able to prep more for his first career start and not have to play on the road. (Assuming they play next week)Just saw a Husker fan post on facebook that the Huskers should be awarded a win because Wisconsin forfeited.
I want to know how many transmissions have been linked to an actual football game. Being outside helps. Contact is for seconds out of every minute. Almost all known cases are linked to indoor transmission. I think the current estimate is about 6% have happened outdoors, and those required people shoulder to shoulder for hours. Which is why we have seen transmission within teams and especially position groups, but practically no team to team transmission. You potentially could have issues now with Illinois due to likely potential of contact with infected Wisky players. All the Wisky players are now out for a minimum of 21 days; coaches, including the head coach who is also positive, are out a minimum of 10-14 days. The staff members that have tested positive have had contact with most players. Wisky likely down to a total of 4 games...
