Still makes me frustrated that they can wait til May 29th to decide. A lot of good transfers have already committed elsewhere thinking ISU had no room or at least an open position where they could start or thrive in. (Like a Mooney, for example)

Early entrants have until June 11 to withdraw from the draft. So it might be a good long while before we know one way or the other.

Why do I have the feeling I should be getting my nut cup ready to be put on?

It looks here like Monte's 2 way deal salary was $75,000.00. Is that right? Do you get different compensation for your time on the NBA squad?

2 way deals sound great and all, but if you're only making $75,000 how do you not take the risk of one more year in school and try to sneak into the 1st round?

If he gives it a year he won't be looking at a $75,000 salary, he'll be looking at a $75,000 suit to wear on draft night next year.

If he stays in someone is at least giving him a 2nd round guarantee. That’s hard to turn away from.
I have no problem with him staying in the draft if he has a pretty good idea he's getting drafted. It will look pretty odd if he stays in and then gets left standing.

Sometimes money is too hard to turn down.
