The article by Jared Stansbury mentions that Pauley spent some time last summer working with the Packers as part of their Diversity program and worked with WR's. Be curious if Lazard developed a relationship with Pauley and had any part in the hiring process.

When I think of NDSU I think very solid fundamentals so hopefully there's something to this.

But it's better than not being on the staff at all :)
I like keeping him around, but personally I think in your early years it’s not a bad idea to bounce around and learn from other coaches, especially if you can catch on at other good schools/coaching staffs. Nothing wrong with learning new things.

That being said, assuming he assists Nate with the QB’s this year, he’s likely learning different things from him than he was from Manning/Gordon. Although I’m sure he still had some interaction with Nate, but probably more now.

Wonder if Nate will operate from the booth, or be on the field. Will need an analyst in the booth if he's on the field. Or a grad assistant on the field if he's in the booth for QB.

Analysts don't make a lot. Maybe upper 20s to low 30s. It would matter in trying to retain him.
It should be another step forward in career development compared to a graduate assistant. Still can't recruit and I don't believe that he can be the sideline guru during games. He should be more involved in breaking down video, analyzing tendencies, and game planning.

I think you are confused. Maybe grad assistants only make 20-30,000. But a quick search on Jake Waters (a senior quality analyst) shows he made $78,000 last year.

I'm guessing position coaches at lower level schools make about as much as analysts do at Power 5 schools.
