I caught a t-shirt on Saturday with my left hand with a winter glove on! I think I would qualify a couple looks. Probably could get a Covid year eligibility or a medical redshirt. Just give me that chance!

Eli Green and Isiah Alston were brought in as transfers this past year and don’t play.

Carsen Brown and Ben Ngoyi would be my first guess as the top two. Brown is the third guy this year and early in the season, the staff played Ngoyi a ton and they are very high on him.
Doesn't mean they can't next year. Our options A and B are pretty damn good this year, so that might be eating up the opportunities for guys further down.

Beni Ngoyi is going to be scary good. And dont forget, Eli Green, Isaiah Alston, and Djack will hopefully all still be an option next year as well.

I say hopefully because im not sure if Green and Alston stay
Look I like Ngoyi potential still, but it’s tough to just assume he is going to be a monster with all the high school wr misses we have had. It’s going to be year 3 in the system for him next year and been a non factor to this point for the most part. I will hope he just got stuck behind some studs but I think we need to go portal again here to be safe.

Way up there
It's hard to tell what we have behind then bc we typically play more or as many TEs. Without a transfer I'd expect Brahmer to play in the slot quite a bit like we saw with Kolar. Burkle. Moore and Brown have proven themselves enough to hold down the te spots. Bb could soften the blow if losing those two if he can exploit mismatches with lbs and safeties.

Ngoyi and Brown have seen the field a lot this year, and Green had some key plays early in the year - I'm not sure if he got hurt or was passed by Brown. Ngoyi is interesting as he's on the field all the time, usually on running plays, but has hardly any targets.

I do think we will hit the portal hard for a "top dog" receiver in the Higgins mold. Someone that can step in and be the "go-to" on day 1 and let the other pieces fill in around them.

It is hard to tell on the backup wide receivers because Ngoyi and Green only seem to be in on running plays. Green had a decent start but fell off a few games in. It is frustrating because it seems like a dead giveaway when one/both of these two are in that it is a run.

I really don't think we as fans know what else we have yet. Rocco has tunnel vision for two guys -- granted they are great guys -- and he only looks for them. The announcers pointed out a couple times when he forced balls into double and triple coverage Saturday when others were wide open.

I think the #1 question about this team in 2025 is how we replace two 1,000 yard receivers. We haven't really seen a strong #3 this year. Will we go portaling? Will Zay Robinson be able to fill those shoes as a true freshman? Is there someone currently on the roster who can make that leap?
They are probably not on the team and we will go into the portal to find them.

Man, are we going to miss Higgins, the guy just catches tough balls anywhere near him. Not sure he can be replaced but if he is it will be through the portal. Not to disrespect Noel as he is very good also. Tough to lose both in the same year.

I will say that each year under Campbell we've lost a great WR and replaced them with another very good or every great WR.

Butler > Pettway > X > Higgins

I think we'll find someone that fits very well.

Doesnt mean Green an Alston won't play next year.

Have we seen Isaiah Alston at all this year, or did they decide to just redshirt him? Coming in, he seemed to me like a potential replacement for Higgins.
