My Fav. ISUers of All-Time:

1. Hoiberg
2. Fizer
3. Tinsley
4. Grayer
5. Cato
6. Willoughby
7. Thigpen
8. Loren Meyer
9. Hornacek
10. Big Vic Alexander
11. Lafester Rhodes
12. Holloway
13. Homan
14. Stevie Johnson
15. Nurse/Horton... just had to put 'em together.

Man, that was really tough to pick. But obviously, these are just my favs....

As a guard... Scotty would have to be in the Top 10-15 All time. He's had a great career... too bad he had a couple of seasons under you know who....thus, could have ranked higher. Heck, this season isn't over by any means....he could continue to go off Sat/Big 12 Tourney/NCAA's....and the way he performs down the stretch this season....he moves up that ladder of glory.

Personally, I'd vote to retire Christopherson's jersey. Right next to Hoiberg's. I know that he was a transfer but he's played his heart out and been a great Cyclone since he got here. One of my top 5 players of all time.

I think what I will remember most about Scotty is he got as much out of himself as he could. And too bad, but could of been even better had he not had so much trouble staying healthy.

In the range of and Between Sullivan and Thigpen. thigpen being the higher ranked. And only using G and SF. No "big Men"

Don't hold your breath on SC getting his jersey retired. He has been a great Cyclone this year, but he arguably isn't the best player on this team and is a stretch to be first team All- Big 12.

Lets all hope that SC has the game of his life tomorrow night in leading us to victory.

One of the most accurate long range shooters in ISU history, along the lines of Sullivan. That's it. Great catch and shoot guy, and I think much better at driving than Sullivan was. Great Free Throw shooter.

Not the team leader that Hoiberg, Hornacek, or Thompson was, although he has evolved into that to a point this year. Not the scorer that Ivy was.

All that being said, I hope he puts up 50 tomorrow.

Scotty has been great for scoring and toughness, but I have a lot of trouble ranking him as great over all because he has been such a liability on defense. Not that he is not trying, but you can see a lot of team building play to take advantage of the fact that he is not as physical or fast as some of the other guards.

I'll take the bait, and see where I could rank him with my sketchy memory. This is more of a personal favorite list, not really a who's the best.

1. Fred Hoiberg
2. Jeff Hornacek
3. Dedrick Willoughby
4. Jamaal Tinsley
5. Jeff Grayer
6. Victor Alexander
7. Kelvin Cato
8. Jake Sullivan
9. Julius Michalik
10. Justus Thigpen
11. Jared Homan
12. Scott Christopherson
13. Hurl Beecham
14. JC Holloway
15. Diante Garret

I could see him passing Homan and Thigpen with a good showing in the tournament, but not Michalik, that guy was awesome. Now I'm rethinking the list and feel Michalik should be higher.

Missing (Among others I'm sure):
Loren Meyer (Top 10)
Craig Brackins (Top 10)
Marcus Fizer (Top 10)
Paul Shirley
Kenny Pratt
Michael Nurse
Kantrail Horton
Jackson Vroman
Will Blalock
Mike Taylor
Curtis Stinson

Its almost impossible to compare good guys on bad teams to good guys on good teams.

For me, basketball is all about how far you get in the tournament. So far he's never been. It may not be fair, but its how I see it.

Scotty went through a lot of crap with the Mcdoormat era but he never complained and always played extremely hard. That one season he played with mono and he continuously improved during his time here, especially this year. Some people rag on scotty from time to time but he'll be tremendously missed, i feel like he's been here for like 5 years, it'll be sad to him go. CA hasn't been here long but he's really contributed to this team and i think he's a great leader. He takes dumb shots time to time but he's also single handily won us some games this year. He'll be huge come tourney time

Think he is the Austin Arnaud of basketball...

Is there a list of all time points in cyclone uni? I know Scotty has 1,000 now. Tied for second on 3's passing the mayor. If he was on a better team (ie more successful then we'd say elite I bet). It's like the Marino debate. Great QB, records, but no SB.

To me, if this team wins Big12 tourney or makes it to Sweet 16 or better then Scotty is elite due helping propel this team. I know others contribute a ton, but Scotty's shooting and FTs have won us games this year and surely win us some tourney games.
