When will we know if Brackins in coming back?

All this talk about Mann leaving, and the confidence that Dendy is bringing, makes me very anxious for the news. I hope CB stays, but most of all I jst want to know. Mann leaving and Dendy coming, does that give better chances for Brackins staying? Or is that irrelevent? I would just like some knowledge from someone who knows???

As soon as he decides. Just sit back and relax until around the middle of June. Thats when I think he will decide.

Someone mentioned on here earlier today he was supposed to be having a meeting with McDermott sometime this week. He said he was going to go home over spring break and talk it over with his family. I have a feeling we will know something sometime soon.

I would expect that he announces that he is entering the draft, but not hiring an agent.

That seems the logical way to go for him.

I just read the article on Scout about L. Dendy.

He lists Brackins as one player he has gotten the closest to. Maybe our newest recruit can help convince him to stay another year. An excerpt:

CSR: Are you close with any of the Iowa State players?

LD: Yeah, I've become pretty close with Craig Brackins, Diante Garrett, and Dominique Buckley. I talk with Craig a lot. I'm not sure if he's coming back or not. I know we'll be good next year either way but if he comes back I think we could do really well in the NCAA tournament.

FWIW, Chad Ford from ESPN came out with a new draft article and says Craig has one foot in the draft door but is still deciding on whether or not to declare.

I'm guessing that sources on this site concerning ISU are better than Ford's sources...

The deadline for him to pull his name out, if he chooses to put it in... is June 15th, 10 days before the draft.

I'd be willing to bet he declares, doesn't hire an agent, goes through workouts and gets some advice then either

a) declares in which case thanks for all you've given us Craig :smile:
b) comes back and turns himself into a surefire lottery pick and leaves next season.
