When was the last time we won a conference road game in football/basketball?
I think the Texas A&M game in football, which would have bee 2005 iirc?
basketball, i have no idea. i would guess 2 full seasons ago though, so early 07 at best.
Now, when does anyone think our next one will be?
Personally, I have serious doubts we will win one in basketball this year, and probably next year as well. that would mean that 2011 would be the earliest for bball, a span of 4 years.
Football, i have a little more faith, and i would say kansas state next year in KC, but technically that is a home game. The next year, 2010 when we play them in KC, will technically be an away game, so that is when i'm going to predict a road win for the football- a span of 5 years.
If this happens, that will mean from early 2007 (last road bball win) to late 2010 (next road football win) will be the span for no road conference wins in either one. 3 1/2 years.
God i hope I'm wrong and it happens sooner than that. I wonder what the ncaa record for this stat is? this would have to be close.
THoughts?
