Interesting question. No idea how these contracts are written up. It wouldn't be a ton of money. Airfare and per diem for maybe 18 - 20 people and whatever appearance fee we were giving them.

Couldn't find anything about women's game cost but found this on the men from 2012. Guessing the WBB payout was probably 1/3 of that maybe $25-30K. Considering the creampuffs we bring in from nothing burger conferences it is going to be on the low end.

Iowa State spent $420,000 to offer opponents guarantees for five games at Hilton Coliseum. That money -- and $130,000 for scheduling multi-event games --came out of the school's basketball budget of $3,618,243.

Realizing that the odds of this actually happening are quite slim...UNO is currently 10th* in a league that only has its top 8 play in the conference tournament. They are 1.5 games out with 3 remaining. If they don't make the top 8, they would be free to play during the week between the end of the Big 12 tournament and the NCAA/WNIT selections.

(*11th in the actual standings, but the league leader is ineligible for postseason play.)
