I don't want an el-cheep-o treadmill, something that will last and run quiet. Any suggestions?

Sole seems to be well liked by a few sources
Are you planning on using it as a runway for your airplane?
(Someone was going to do it anyways.)
Yes, someone was. You beat me by 4 mins.
That was my first thought also.
whatever you get make sure you get the warranty. That thing saved me 2000 bucks in repairs. and replaced the belt. Totally worth it.
get one with the tv attachment. that was the only reason i started running at Ames racquet and fitness
I'd recommend a Life Fitness T5-5, it's a quality unit.

We've had ours for about 4 years and have right at 4000 miles on it with not a single problem.
I love my landice. Nice and solid so fat middle aged guys like me can run on it. It is consistently one of the highest rated treadmills on the market.
Plus they come with a lifetime warranty: http://www.landice.com/Pages/residential_treadmill/pages/warranty.html
I bought a used commercial one off of E-Bay that was used in a hotel. It looked 90% new when I got it and it has worked perfectly. It's in storage right now due to a recent move. But my point is that you can pick up a well made commercial one that is slightly used at a fraction of the cost... I paid $1100 (including shipping) for probably a $5000 treadmill. For $1100 in a store you would be limited to something from Wal-Mart, etc. It's worth a quick look if you are on a budget.
Does the girl in the picture come with it?
