That's fine, but it completely ignores the fact it's all-or-nothing and your odds are significantly reduced. I think you'd be better in the long run to bet 4 games and hit on maybe 2-3 each time than to hit the occasional parlay.

But as all things gambling, Vegas has it all figured out, so I doubt one way is substantially better than the other. Just a matter of preference.

The thing is we are not in vegas. Iowa lines are different. If you look at the wins total for iowa and isu for season in vegas and here they are different

I guess I was using Vegas to broadly define bookmakers. In any event, the people that put these lines out know what they are doing.

I was in a CVS this weekend and I asked about depositing money there. It's not set up yet.
I just noticed a Bank/ACH/eCheck and William Hill Prepaid card option on the app this morning. They weren't there the last time I looked (probably last weekend).

Has anyone that doesn't live in Iowa tried to sign up yet? I live in St. Louis, but travel to Iowa fairly frequently to visit family. Was wanting to sign up to be able to place bets while in the state. Are they allowing out of staters to register for mobile? I can't imagine they wouldn't, but curious if they have gotten that part ironed out yet.

You should be fine. I believe a lot of Nebraskans have crossed the river to sign up in Counciltucky.

Wouldn’t having an out of state ID throw you out of setting up an account ? I don’t know just throwing it out there

It shouldn't. You don't have to be an Iowa resident to bet, you just need to be located in Iowa when placing the bet.

To us poor souls in Cedar Rapids - where is the best place to go set up an account?

Ideally, I would like just 1 trip to the casino to register/deposit. Then I'd use the app or go to some local store (CVS and Dollar General were mentioned in this thread) to add more money.

From what I'm reading, I wonder if Isle in Waterloo might be the best option at this time. I haven't heard much about Riverside or the Dubuque options.
FYI, its Family Dollar, not Dollar General. I'm guessing you have both in CR, but thought I'd clarify.

SIAP:

When it comes to the app, I understand the last part of setting up the account is you must be at the casino in person... is that to make a one time deposit? Or just to set up the account?

For those who've done it, how does that work?

Download the app (assuming IPhone) and fill out the info. You’ll have to create a password, Scan your drivers license and the final step is you have to have Bluetooth on and be inside the casino for it to accept your application. Mine was finished right away and then you can walk up to an employee in the sports book and make your deposit. That must be done at the casino for now

Do all deposits need to be made at the casino? Or just the first one?

Damn, thats a pain in the ass.
I was told by a William Hill employee when I went to finalize my account over the weekend that they were hoping mid week this week to be able to attach a checking/savings account for deposits. I'm hoping it'll work for cashing out winnings as well.

That shows up in the app now. Haven’t tried to link it yet

They are putting it in for withdraws not deposits. you have to deposit in casino everytime
It's listed as an option under "Deposit Funds." Along with the CVS/Family Dollar option and some William Hill pre-paid card that I haven't looked into.

Was just told at the casino they hope the ACH option is available soon
