New Heights (Neumatt), Swiss drama, 8 episode Netflix short series. Intergenerational family dairy farm struggle to survive. Anyone with a family farm background can relate. Watch in the original Swiss German as English dub is bad. Well done.

Rolling through Breaking Bad for the first time, just about done with season 4
We're kind of at the same spot.
I watched Breaking Bad as it came out originally. Decided to do a slow watch of it again - 1 episode max per calendar week. I get to start season 5 this week and am so excited. I remember key moments and the general flow of the final season, but since it's been so long a lot will be fresh again. Thinking I'll do Better Call Saul with this watching schedule afterwards (have only seen an episode or 2 of BCS). Maybe the movie in between too.

I gotten the slow watch tradition started when I was watching Mr. Robot and realized I was going through it too quickly and did 1 episode a week for the final season. Mr. Robot Monday with single-malt scotch was the tradition. An awesome decision because that season has some of the best TV or film I've ever consumed. The episodes were very dense, you never fully knew what was going on or was coming next, and it was going back to retell snips of different storylines from previous seasons. Huge payoffs for watching through a show like that carefully. The time to digest things makes it more enjoyable for me.

Also recently I'm doing a revisit of Firefly. An all-time fave of mine - Light sci-fi with great characters and writing.

My wife is looking for a short(ish) mystery streaming series. Has anyone seen "Sharp Objects" on HBO? Is it worth the watch?
These shows are older but I highly recommend. They're both BBC shows but think they are available on streaming services.

The Fall
Happy Valley

Have her watch the trailers and see if they're up her alley.

Anybody check out Sandman on Netflix yet? Haven't had a chance to watch it and I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts. For those that don't know it's an adaptation of what many consider to be one of the greatest comic book series ever.

We watched episode 1 last night. Had absolutely no prior knowledge of the story. It was interesting to me, anyway. Not sure about the wife.

This one is on my list to watch. Looks interesting.

Watching the newest season of Alone and I'm hooked. If you like the outdoors and shows about survival I would highly recommend. Really interesting to see everyone's different strategies and ideas.

I'm a couple episodes into Open Range on Amazon Prime. Pretty intriguing so far.
