I live in Iowa now, but I have lived in Arizona, Texas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Utah.

The only other college teams I have backed have been Arizona State, Rutgers and Penn State

I moved to Illinois 6 years ago, WAAAYYYY to much little eleven here. I do admit I have rooted for the Illini, and I did tell people they would get along with me fine... "cause I hate the Hawkeyes too!"
On kind of a side note I live in SEC country and although you'd think I'd get blasted by SEC teams (from a tv standpoint) I have to admit that they've shown ISU BB games 3 of the last 4 weeks down here. Just wish we had a little better representation so I don't have to hear "what happened to your Cyclones?" at work.

Oregon. Go Beavs!! Very similar school and tradition to ISU, so it was a easy transition. Come to think of it, I have been a beaver fan my whole life.

Born and raised in Iowa. I live 5 minutes from the house I grew up in.
I grew up a Cyclone fan, because everyone in my family who had gone to college, went there. In my ignorant youth I also pulled for Iowa when they weren't playing ISU. Once I started going to ISU, and found out how "awesome" Hawkeye fans were, I have disliked them ever since.
I love college football and will find a team to root for evey game I get a chance to watch (darn kids). I think I have favorite teams in almost every conference.
Big 12 - I will root for most Big 12 teams, except Nebraska. They have never played nice with ISU and their fans are full of themselves.
Big 11 - Probably Michigan State, because they have some similarities to ISU with the in state Rival Michigan. I just wish ISU could have had some more success like MSU. Otherwise, I will root for quite a few Big 11 teams because they are mostly midwestern.
SEC - I like the SEC brand of football. They have some really talented teams that can be fun to watch, whether they play by the rules or not. My favorite from the SEC used to be Auburn. So much for that. I think I will root for Georgia the most now since Bama cheats too dang much.
ACC - I've always likes Florida State and Va Tech a lot. I like that Va Tech used to suck like ISU and got to be really good.
Big East - I love the offensive style of WVU and have rooted for Louisville in the past.
Pac 10 - Always liked Oregon, despite the eye wrenching unis. I also respect USC for the loads of talent they have.
Independents - I almost feel obligated to like Notre Dame because I was raised Catholic. I have kind of gotten sick of them recently though.
MWC - TCU should have been in the Big 12 instead of Baylor. The only times I have rooted against them was in the bowl game. I respect what Utah's been able to do.
WAC - Anyone playing Boise State. Can't stand them. They do not deserve the rep they have. Probably root for Fresno State most, because of their, "Anyone, anywhere" attitude.
Conf USA, MAC, and Sunbelt - Not so much a fan of anyone, but I will watch games when they are on and pick someone.

Basically I love college football. Best sport out there.
