I'm pretty sure this is the song that riddled my life for a good 5-7 years. I don't like this particular song, but about 45 seconds in there's a real heavy passage that got stuck in my head. Then for the life of me, and the thousands of metal CD's I own, I couldn't figure out where the damn riff was from. Eventually I had chaos AD in one day and heard it...it was a moment of great relief for me to finally find the source of that riff.

Come to think of it, it's actually the track "Nomad". For all the torment I went through I should have immediately known that.

Hahaha!!! Gotta love when that happens!! We need to catch up on metal bands, man!

Tonight I have been in an old punk/hardcore mood, so I have been jamming Black Flag, The Exploited, Dead Kennedys, Bloodhook, Agent Orange, Sick of it All, TSOL, Verbal Abuse, Descendents, The Stooges and Slayer's "Undisputed Attitude" album... and now for some Black Metal. Burzum coming up, followed by Hate Forest, Melechesh, Akercocke, Sargesit, Leviathan and I think I will throw in some Neurosis. Ahhhh music!

I'm a 50 year old codger. I still listen to The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yes, old-school Genesis, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, etc. And not the overplayed crap you hear on "Classic Rock" stations; most of that was mediocre in the 70s, and still mediocre along with stale today.

But then, who am I to talk? :sad:
