I highly doubt Woodbury is doing this on purpose. I just think he is to stupid to realize he is defending wrong when his hand is not straight up and down, and his coaches are too stupid to correct it and/or teach correct defense in the first place.

Should be suspended for the rest of the year and arrested. This goes beyond basketball. He's intentionally trying to injure and maim someone. Absolutely no place for this in basketball. The only ones that say they're accidents are the most delusional hock fans alive. Lightning doesn't strike THREE TIMES in one spot! Such a thug!

Either you're missing a jimlad, or you're missing that we're mostly just having fun here. Sure, he's a goober...sure his decisions are questionable, but arrest? Please tell me it's the jimlad thing.

No idea what a jimlad is, but I know what assault is. If you walk down the street and poke people in the eye, causing injury, that's a crime. It doesn't change just because they step inside a building and play a game.

There is a lot of stupid in this thread, but this takes the cake.

So every boxer should be arrested after every boxing match? MMA, Wrestling, Football?

For a Sunday night, you're pretty intense. Shoulda done more chillin' over the weekend...

If Kane would have eye raked even ONE more guy in the BYU game I would not be defending him and would have said it was intentional. If Hogue roundhouse kicked 3 guys you bet your *** it would appear intentional. The gouge on Trimble was awful. Ball was down and he was stopped. His eye was seriously messed up. Whether or not it IS intentional, the BIG needs to sit him a game to teach him proper close out techniques. Might as well let him throw out random but taps during games as proper box out techniques.

Nope. It's part of the sport. It's covered clearly by the law and written in the rules of the sports you mentioned.

I guess I'll say this as a lightening rod. Played with a player who was 6'10". I was 6'1" on a good day. Also was the second tallest person on the squad so always matched up. His hands were always in my face and I had more than one scratch to my face or forehead from scrimmages. I also wore glasses from jr year on my my eyes were spared. Woodbury is 7'0" pr so but has those short arms so My experience would be the contact is incidental. Also guessing it would be hard to actually target an opponents eyes and successfully hit that target. Him being a Hok w like to have fun with him but I actually feel kind of sorry for him. My 6'10" teammate grew to at least 7'0" and did not enjoy the attention. Actually became an orthodontist ( bright guy) but had to quit in his mid fifties due to too much bending over. Sorry for the weird, rambling rant, BTW.

Why is it not a crime? Fits the definition. Wouldn't be the first time someone was charged with a crime for intentional acts in a sporting event. History and the law will back me up in this.

Just know that opposing fans will see your posts and copy them as an example of how stupid ISU fans are, so thanks for that, I guess.

Please give me your history to back this up. Give me another time someone was arrested for a flagrant foul in basketball.

Here's one of many examples.

Today, he sits in a Bexar County jail cell here, waiting for a decision on Friday on whether a judge will reduce his five-year prison sentence for assault. Fourteen months ago, Mr. Limon threw an elbow into an opponent's face in a basketball game, breaking the player's nose.
