I had always used IE until people told me it sucked and that Chrome was way better. I switched to Chrome and could barely use the internet anymore because it was constantly stopping or saying Flash had crashed. I switched back to IE and everything is faster and works. I've tried reinstalling Chrome but it never works as good as IE.

Is there something wrong with my computer or is the hype for Chrome just hype?

Not surprised IE is that high. However, I am surprised Safari is that high. I use Firefox.

Yes Chrome is good, but the other browsers are just fine.

BBHMagic, it must be your computer. Chrome should not perform that much worse than other browsers.

Likewise. But as someone else mentioned, I have to assume IE numbers are so high because it's through corporate internet.

I like Chrome, but I've got my Firefox set up just right and there's a lot of stuff I can't duplicate in Chrome. So I haven't switched.

Believe it or not, some companies give their IT departments plenty of powers that they use to lord over us poor unfortunate souls. I'm forced to use IE8. Which means half the pages I visit give me an error saying my browser is unsupported.

If you work for a bigger company(Wells Fargo, Principal, etc) with an IT department most likely they have you locked down.

Here is a tip for you people in huge companies with IT that has a ton of power. If you're on Windows 7 try downloading the file and clicking "run elevated", that is sometimes an option. Put in a BS reason for running elevated and BAM you got yourself a new browser.

Also it isn't the IT's fault, we would love to put everyone on something else but if you're company uses something like Kronos, then you're screwed. Kronos is hardly ever updated.
