I really, really think 12 teams will come closer to the renegotiation of Tier 1 & 2 rights.

This way you don't water down the current contract, but you can drive up the new one.

I would be fine with adding them ('Ville/Cincy) immediately, but I think in due time we will be at 12.

I just have a hard time celebrating until we get back to 12. Adding ANOTHER top 25 program to the conference does not excite me.

I hope they come to Ames in 2012. They're exciting to watch and I can't wait to see them in person.

I think WVU will just move into Mizzou's schedule so WVU will play at JTS. Next year. Here is to our series starting 1-0 over the Mountaineers!

The most interesting part, if true, is that they play in the B12 in 2012. That would free Mizzou up to pay a massive exit fee to leave for 2012 too.

Rumors were that Pitt and Syracuse had negotiated a $21.5 million exit fee to waive the 27 month timeline for the Big East, but the Big East has constantly said the 27 month timeline would not be waived.

So if this is true, then I suspect West Virginia would have to pay at least 21.5 million also, which is significantly more than the $5 million, but they'll also be getting about 10 million more in TV revenue every year.

According to their Scout board, they're just going to pay their buy out and GTFO of the BE before next year.

That works for me. I was tenatively planning on Stillwater, Lawrence, and maybe Ft Worth for next year's roadies. It would be hard to pass up a trip to Morgantown.

I feel bad for the Football schools in that conference. They're gonna have to share that money with the Basketball schools. Is it even considered a conference with only 5 schools that play football. They should get out for free.

This might be our subtle way of kicking them out while still getting our money.
