We have not deserved it today. We have to be able to match toughness. If the officials let them play this way, you have to be willing to slug it out and we are not there yet. We are very weak with the ball sometimes and that makes it easy for Tx to take advantage of. And Collier is special. She doesn't do too many things, but she does those few things well.

A dribble weave should not be this hard to defend, especially when they are taking the clock down, you know when they are going to drive and we have let them have clear drives like 8 times now. Just frustrating. Wow!

Collier finally got called for something. She has pulled her pivot foot on a few of the second moves she's made today. They should be travels, not buckets, but whatever.

Similar plays early in the game showed we were just lost on who to guard, when to look to the lane.

Just another of many "misses" in this game, but what was our Free throw percentage? seriously. 2-10?

Very hard to win with AJ on the bench for half the game

Tough loss, but these freshman are getting a lesson in toughness and strength, which is going to make them so much better down the road, especially if Ashley is way off or in foul trouble.

Texas has our number this year. I think it is all aggressiveness combined with the officials letting some extra strong D go. If the officials let things like that go, you need to "punch back", we don't have that mentality / capability now. We need a couple bruisers to go with our freshmen that have at least equal athletic ability to Tx and we'll be able to compete. Until then, I think they have a recipe for beating us.

Well shucks would have been good to split w/Texas. Classy finish by Vic to dribble it out I appreciate that.

It seemed like every time they ran the weave (a lot) one of our players got lost in traffic in the middle leaving a wide open lane for a lay up.

Surprised to see Texas win in Hilton, with both Gaston and Warren out.
Still, with all of the freshmen playing so much, we're doing fine. Very competitive mindset on our team.

We were too soft and let Texas' size and speed intimidate us from the start. Texas is a really bad matchup for our roster. The only way we beat a team like that is hope they settle for jumpers and we hit a bunch of threes. Texas uses the "the refs can't call them all" Press Virginia strategy, and we let it get us on our heels.

Joens is a great player, but she has to have a better understanding of what the opponent is trying to do. on defense. You aren't just going to dribble into the middle of a defense like that. You have to move the ball and then drive. She gets tunnel vision too often. She has capable teammates. Look to drive and kick and/or grab an offensive rebound.

Donarski is often a victim of the same tunnel vision.
