It was a two all the way. Foot on the line, called a two initially.
ESPN must have just messed up the score momentarily when they showed it 77-77. We didn't have the actual game on here. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm glad KSU won. They needed a morale boost. I hope KSU can get some rest because we will be needing them to beat WVU if we want to climb up the standings. Go EMAW! ;)

He's probably a couple years away from even competing for #2 let alone winning the Big 12. He does have three top 20 recruits coming next year so off to great start recruiting and who knows what he might get via the transfer portal this year. Prospects Nation says it is the #3 class for 2021. And he'll be making lots and lots of money. ;)

BTW, Baylor only signed a single player, a five star post.
Baylor doesn't necessarily need to sign another player for next year. They have 3 transfers setting on the bench this year. It's also highly probable that at least 2 of their Seniors will return next year due to the covid exclusion. And if a highly touted grad transfer becomes available they may well grab on to her. They could actually have a log jam of players next year.

Here's the Big12 Standings on March 1. IMO, we need to make a change to the narrative and include OU as the one of the middle-tier teams. Baylor is on its own tier now. WVU, OSU, ISU, TEX and OU should belong in the same upper-middle tier, Tech, TCU, KSU and KU should be the bottom feeders.

If you only need one player, sign the rare gem, a five star top post. ;) Kinda stock piling the top posts in the last two classes.

Baylor has secured yet another Big12 regular-season champion outright. Boring. I hope ISU and Texas can get better in the next few years to challenge Baylor like other power conferences where there are always multiple teams competing for league champions year in and year out.

I enjoyed when they put up the graphic about Baylor's dominance including their 4 undefeated conference seasons 2 of which were 18,19. This season and last season the only thing keeping them from conference perfection has been us. Makes our performances even more impressive that in the last 4 four years the only conference team to beat them has been us.

Semifinalists for Naismith Women's Player of the Year award announced

The following contents are copied from NCAA.com. Ashley got snubbed. This is the NCAA politics at its best. Schools like ours rarely get respect. By the way, Bridget didn't make the semi-final list in 2019 either.

The Naismith Trophy announced its semifinalists for the 2021 Women's Player of the Year award. The list includes 11 players instead of the usual 10, due to a tie among voters.

Six conferences are represented among the semifinalists. Kentucky's Rhyne Howard returns to the 2021 list after becoming a finalist in 2020.

Sabrina Ionescu from Oregon won the 2020 prize.

The list will be narrowed to four finalists on March 19.

The winner of the 2021 Jersey Mike's Naismith Women's College Player of the Year Award will be announced April 3, the day before the national championship game.

The full semifinalist list is below.

Pretty sure that he is the announcer for the Iowa State University Cyclone 'Football' Varsity Marching Band at football games as well.

That's someone different. The band announcer (John) also does softball and gymnastics, and is/was on volleyball. Elliott has filled in for him on VB at times, in addition to doing WBB.

Can anyone tell me what the tie breaker is if by chance West Virginia and Iowa State both finish 12-6 in Big 12? Asking as it will maybe determine if we play session 2 or 3 in KC.

Tiebreakers.
The first criteria in the breaking of ties in the standings shall be head-to-head competition of tied teams. The following procedure will be used to establish the postseason championship seeds when ties exist.

Ties Involving Two Teams.

a. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular season. If teams remain tied, then:

  1. Each team’s record versus the team occupying the highest position in the final regular season standings, and then continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage. When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team’s record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that group’s own tiebreaking procedures), rather than the performance against individual tied teams. The lone exception to this guideline would be if there are only two tied teams in the group placement and one of the teams won both regular-season games. In this instance, the tie is deemed broken and comparison of the seed rather than the placement will be utilized.
  2. A comparison of the tied teams Conference-games only road record.
  3. A comparison of the tied teams Conference games only road record versus the team(s) occupying the highest position in the final Conference regular season standings, and then counting down through the standings until one team gains an advantage. When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team’s record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that group’s own tie breaking procedure), rather than the performance against individual tied teams. The lone exception to this guideline would be if there are only two tied teams in the group placement and one of the teams won both regular-season games. In this instance, the tie is deemed broken and comparison of the seed rather than the placement will be utilized.
  4. Draw. In the event tiebreaking procedures are unsuccessful and a draw is necessary in determining any portion of seeding, the following procedure will be used:

    (1) The draw will be conducted in public or with media attendance.

    (2) Institutions involved in the drawing have the right to have a local representative in attendance at the drawing;

    (3) A single slip of paper for each institution (with name or logo) will be placed into a container and will be drawn in order of seeding from highest to lowest.

ISU over WVU due to record vs. Baylor.

That's why tonight's games are huge.

If ISU and KSU win, ISU can still be the #3.

Otherwise, it's the 4/5 game against either Texas or Oklahoma.
