My wife and I make it to a couple games per year. We were in attendance yesterday as guests of a player, so we sat at half-court in the section with player families. My wife is an obvious good luck charm - if she sits near and strikes up conversation with a player's female relative, that player will have a great game. We sat directly in front of and conversed with Arianna Jackson's mom and A.J. had her best offensive game of the year. A few years ago we sat by Lexi Donarski's grandmother when she scored 32 points (her ISU career high).
Anyway, it was good to be in the house with great seats, but I'm not taking much away from this game. When they flashed the starting lineups on the scoreboard, I assumed Peterson was being disciplined and would sit five minutes, but I couldn't find her on the UCF bench. Beating one of the worst three teams in the league without their top three scorers isn't an accomplishment to brag about. It was good to see the entire team with positive entries in the box score - only Tanke didn't score and she had the opportunity.
