Continues to show a lack of respect for the Big 12, but I can understand their thoughts on this. We just don't have a bunch of highly rated teams in the conference this year. Good thing we had a decent non-con schedule this year.

I think it's more a reflection of reality, the league is weak after the top 3 or 4. Becasue of that we only have two more chances for an in league signature win with WVU remaining outside the 25. At least WVU has earned some votes and could play themselves into a ranking (hopefully not at our expense!). Big 10 isn't looking great either with only 4 teams of their 16 ranked and only Brenda is in the Top 15 right now.

Kind of what I'm afraid of is ISU has less chance to make any noise at this point, and a lot of opportunities to get dinged. But....I say we probably are going to play Baylor or Texas in the Big 12 tourney, so we have 4 more chances. It would be good after we beat WVU Saturday, for them to go on a winning streak and have 4 good strong teams in the league.

When this season started I was hoping for an NCAA bid, now I'm getting greedy and want some Hilton tournament games. We're going to have to beat Baylor at least once, I think, for that to happen.

Or Texas in Texas...and/or Texas/Baylor in the tourney. Assuming we beat WV and then hold serve, we would be either 2 or 3 seed in the tourney...play Texas again. You just don't want the 4/5 seed...Baylor bait.

That poll will change a little next week. I am current;y in Austin to watch BU & TX. If BU wins TX will probably drop a couple of notches just due to the fact that they will then have 5 losses. On the other hand if TX wins Baylor will fall like humpty dumpty to 6 or 7.

The WV - ISU game will make a difference too. WV could very well climb into the polls next week with a win in Ames. If ISU wins I'd guess they would move up a couple of notches. So change is in the making, we just don't know which way it will go yet.

And down goes Texas. Well, they officially have 10 minutes left but they are going to lose badly at home. Baylor defense is too much and Texas looks outclassed, out hustled and out coached.

Edit: Damn spoke too soon! Texas was down by more than I thought they could score even if Baylor didn't but than they got 8 points in one minute.

Wow. Baylor wins by 6, but Texas outscored them 28-13 in the 4th quarter.
