Caught this show on the lifetime network tonight because they were talking about the Johnny Gosch kidnapping in West Des Moines in 1982. I didn't realize three kids were taken over the next few years. I remember being scared to death on my paper route during that time and I lived in Sioux City.
Anyone here grow up in Des Moines during that time remember what it was like? Crazy theory about what might have happened to those kids.

I was. The paper's big solution - they gave all carriers a whistle. Boy, I know I felt much safer. Actually, my dad or my older brother would help me. Pretty scary for awhile, though.
