These definitely look like two different styles of helmets to me... not just stickers. But think what you want.

They're at least photos from different years - the label/tab on the front indicates either 2016 or 2017 picture. Some of the helmets may have been updated but seems like all of 2017 whites are same with that indentation, except maybe the kickers.

Is that Montgomery in your 2016 picture (looks like #32)? Notice he has a non-cut crown there.

Not claiming. They are. From pee-wee football clear through high school, stripes and decals were stickers (decals)...some would get torn up during practice/games and would need replaced. Simply peeled them off and replaced with new ones...

Would be the same concept - replace stripes and logo with different stripes and logo -- dont need to buy a completely new helmet each time..

And not everyone has the same model of helmet.. lol

I don't get why this is so hard to understand. We have white helmets and cardinal helmets - within those sets of cardinal and white helmets we have different types/models that each player can choose that fits his head the best..

I guess I figured they just offer the players a few different physical helmet styles and they pick they want based on how they like the fit and/or look. I don't think all of the facemasks are one single design, either. I haven't been paying super close attention to this stuff, but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

So last year we got new white helmets and made a big deal about them..then this year the staff thought you know what would be cool, lets get white helmets again!

No. They are the same helmets but they bought white facemasks and got new stickers..
If you think they bought a third set of helmets and got another set of white ones then I dk what I can tell you lol

I think I misunderstood what you and @ComCY were arguing about. I thought this was about the (what I'm fairly sure are) SpeedFlex vs. Revolution-style helmets, not the decals on them. Nevermind.

In my opinion the stencil style logo looks better on the cardinal helmets - and on yellow helmets. But on the white helmets, I prefer the full color I-State logo.

To be clear, I do not prefer the "bugle / upside down poop emoji" on any color of helmet.

You're right and wrong. I know the game helmets are not the same helmets that are worn in practice (at least the cardinal ones). But yes, the decals are just stickers. Usually after every game the helmets get cleaned and some decals need to be replaced

well I would be confused that I was at the wrong game, but then would think ISU just changed the color scheme AGAIN, but at least I would be happy we finally have gold helmets in the lineup.

Are people here under the impression because the equipment department get a few helmet boxes delivered that means an entirely new look?
You do realize they have to order and replace helmets all the time as well as get new ones for incoming players. That doesn't mean a half dozen new helmet boxes in the equipment room means a complete new look.

Gawd.... I hope not. The cardinal matte helmets were AWFUL. Hope we never see them again.
