First off, I just wanted to say Tyrus McGee will hold a special place in this Cyclone fan's heart long after he plays his last game for Iowa State sometime in the next three or four weeks. We've seen him sacrifice minutes for the good of the team, drain crazy rainbow threes that might have gotten him benched had he missed them, and become the go-to guy when nobody else seemed to want to take on that burden. With all that said, I thought McGee played one of his best games tonight. He scored 14 points in only 21 minutes and needed just five shots to get it. When ISU couldn't buy a three during that one long Oklahoma State run, McGee went to the rack and got to the line, which is something ISU hasn't done enough of this season when the threes stopped falling. I just thought it was cool to see what I consider the nation's best shooter impact a game without shooting the ball much. He is what's great about ISU and about Hilton Magic. Tonight it hit me how much I'm going to miss him when he's gone.
