With 97.5 million viewers this years Super Bowl was only eclipsed by the final episode of M*A*S*H with 106 million viewers in 1983.

Who had a concert scheduled for Hilton the night of the final MASH episode and ended up cancelling it do to low ticket sales attributed to the final MASH episode?

    TOM PETTY.

What year was Ellis Hobbs born?

    1983.

What is the significance of all of this?

    I'm gonna say nothing?

Nothing will ever beat the record that MASH set, mark it down. There's nothing these days that comes close the the phenomenon that was MASH in the 70's.

I thought there might even be more people watching the super bowl than that watched MASH, considering the writer's strike and everything else.

There's also about 75 million more people in the U.S. today than there was when the M*A*S*H episode aired. So percentage of people wise its not even close.

Does anyone know how the Super Bowl compares to world wide ratings for something like the World Cup finals?

Just goes to show how awesome that record is. The super bowl, the most hyped "tv show" of the year, and it falls 10 million short.
