Cooper was legit. I saw a short on him documenting his condition. If I remember right it started his senior year of high school and it was effecting one of his hands, so he played WR one handed the entire year and was still considered one one of the top prospects in the country at the position.

No, Indiana is still the king in that state. Followed by Purdue. Notre Dame basketball is a distant third in Indiana...not many talk about them.

I agree with this- in fact, the Irish are bigger in Illinois than in Indiana

I'm just saying that this is his most talented team, by far. When they're on, it's nearly impossible to beat them.

And yet that's not what he posted - he said nothing about which program had the most fan support. Indiana basketball may still be the most popular program in the state, but it has been far from the best for years - behind Purdue, Notre Dame, and, as another poster just said, Butler.

How great would it be though if Alford went to Indiana and beat up on Iowa.

Indiana is apparently setting their sight
??? Uh, just last year Indiana won the Big Ten and Crean was conference coach of the year...as a #5 seed beat #4 Kentucky to reach the Sweet Sixteen. Didn't see Butler or Purdue there...

Butler has had a better recent history than Indiana as well.

And yet this year... Purdue, Butler, and ND all in the NCAA Tournament (5 seeds or higher) while Indiana told the NIT committee they were rejecting a home game for the NIT because it was "beneath them".

But if you really want to talk about last year - Purdue was on the same seed line as them (5), ND was one seed lower (6) in the same region, and Butler was in the tournament as well.

    2015: 10 Indiana, 9 Purdue, 6 Butler, 3 Notre Dame

    2014: None made it

2013 was the last time Indiana was the best in the state (1 seed) but got themselves popped in the Sweet 16

But yeah - Indiana is the best program in Indiana. Keep living in the 1980s...

Should we add Fort Wayne to the list. They did beat Indiana this year.

Indiana was in a tough spot. They've had some good years and some disappointing years. More than anything, there has been all kinds of talent that's come through Indiana in the last 4-5 years. Oladipo, Zeller, Ferrell, Vonley, Blackmon, Bryant to name a few. Despite that, they've never really put it all together.

Just pointing out that your claim, "Indiana basketball may still be the most popular program in the state, but it has been far from the best for years" is incorrect.
Indiana was the best team in the Big Ten last year, and went further in the NCAA's than Butler or Purdue....

Hey - don't let me provide several years worth of evidence that, in fact, Indiana basketball has been far from the best for years get in the way of you having an incorrect opinion.

Speaking of "evidence" - Crean has won 2 outright Big Ten titles in the previous 4 years...do some research.
