I agree with the sox fan here, i think coming to Iowa and developing him here first, then bring him to Wrigley about 1/3 into the season would be the best thing for the Cubs, and Samardizja

Yes, Marshall would more than likely get the 5th starters spot, if for no other reason than he has the experience. The Shark only has 2 pitches - he throws both of them well, but it wouldn't take very long for the rest of the NL to figure him out.

There is no way Samardzija spends time in Iowa unless it's rehab. He's too good and has had too much experience to be sent down at this point. I want the best staff up here period.
