THE new espn.com

Has anybody checked it out? It's running much smoother than before. Same sort of layout though, not much different there.

There are things I like about it and things I don't. First, it's a lot less cluttered than it used to be, and on a standard screen it looks pretty appealing. However, first I miss having all the sports links on the menubar (they only have 4 or 5 now and the rest are tucked away in a dropdown menu). The second thing I really hate is the "visually appealing" thing I was referring to on a standard screen goes away if you have a wide screen. They didn't make the background image wide enough to compensate for widescreens, and it looks REALLY awkward.

Hated the new look at first...but I am starting to warm up to it. Seems more streamlined...maybe? I used to like ESPN.com a lot more before they added all the bells and whistles! Hate the video that starts automatically...need to block that!

Looks like they tried to fit 10 pounds of crap into an 8 pound bag.
