I still wonder how much of that was Rhoads. I remember a couple times we had big losses Rhoads thought we didn’t run enough bubble screens. I think everyone else was wondering why we ran so many.

Pretty sure ISU ran one or two when they had 3rd and short and had Warren rolling in 2015 vs. TCU. They failed, of course. That was with Mean Mangino at O.C. so likely a CPR special.

I think everyone should realize what a disaster the whole program was when he was running the offense. First of all, our head coach didn't know what he wanted to do. Second, he wasn't running his own or Rhoads' system, he was trying to run one made by Tom Herman. Third, we got a new OL coach Chris Klienakis that wanted to run his own pistol **** right in the middle of it.

How successful you gonna be when HC, OC, former OC, and OL coach aren't on the same page?? Disaster

I liked Messingham but he had no offensive line. The Rhodes era was known for poor recruiting and unfortunately Messingham suffered because of that.

It's also known for fans of a team who don't check to see how to spell the coach's name.
