Tech doesn't make it yet Iowa is a 1 seed. Strange times indeed.

I found this really odd as well, Tech was easily an NIT team this year.

You don't think that they declined an invite?

No, they didnt. I caught the very end of the show and the "chairman" said nobody declined an invite.

Indiana was also 7-11 in the Big 10.

Pretty sure Tech would of been invited over TCU until TCU beat KU.

No they could both go, but there are so many auto-bids for the NIT that there are only a handful of at-larges.

Too bad. I haven't looked at the field but I'm sure Tech could beat most of them.

Mid-major regular season champs that don't win their conference tournament.

I think there were something like 10 automatic bids in a field of 32 so 22 at large. Surprised Iowa was basically in the first 4 out even after getting whipped by IU in the first round of the Big10 Tourney.

They beat MSU, who is somehow a 9 seed based on the strength of their win over PedoSt in the B1G tourney, and NW who is also a tournament team. On a neutral court they absolutely mauled Iowa as well, and that was what, a day ago? I think anyone would pick Indiana over Iowa in an NIT matchup.
