I always wonder if there are multiple idols planted out there as well... Like, 2 or 3... And then once someone finds one, the production team members immediately remove the others from their hiding spots. Seems like finding idols is way easier than it used to be.

I think there was more of tribal not shown last night than what we got. The podcast I listen too mentioned, "how could they have not talked more about Aurora going and just let Devens keep his idol?", which I agree with. It's insane to me that you just let one of your alliance go and you didn't at least force Devens to use it on Julie. They're potentially going to be be right backin the same position of he or Julie win the next immunity. ...my only conclusion is Aurora was tougher to live with than we saw.

Devens - Idol
Julie - Team Devens

Whomever - Wildcard

Lauren - Team LGV
Gaven - Team LGV
Victoria - Team LGV

I would bet a significant amount of money that production interferes someway in the day to day and voting.

Probably. Can you imagine how much the ratings would drop if Devins and Gavin weren't playing and the remaining were those four females who haven't done ****? And nothing against women at all, those four are just boring as hell.

Honestly, you could probably put Gavin in that group as well.

Just watched on DVR and if Devens makes the final he is winning this. He orchestrated that vote and the jury surely likes him by now. Amazing how no one is working with him and all want him out but hes been the one behind the last few votes. Guessing whoever comes back from the edge will work with Devens and Julie because they need to be on the right side of the numbers to have any shot and surely Gavin Vic and Luaren will want to stay tight.

One thing I'm disliking about this game is it seems like season after season when there is a person who needs an idol to stay in the game they just happen to find one. It stinks to me of production knowing what they have in a player and to keep them around as long as possible they sneak them an area in which to look.

I'd like to think it's the natural risk/reward of 1. Somebody with their back against the wall willing to search for the idol because they are likely going home if they don't, vs. 2. Somebody on the side with the numbers not wanting to be caught searching for an idol because if their alliance members catch them they lose trust in them.

But I tend to lean towards your comment. Awfully suspicious for the timing of some of the finds in recent memory.

One thing you will also notice about hidden immunity idols is this. If a contestant is searching for an idol and walks past it or it's in the tree or something, the camera guy will stay on the idol as the person walks past it. So if you are ever on survivor and the camera operator quits filming you for a second or two while you are searching. Look where the camera is focused. WE noticed it a few years ago.

This definitely happens, but I'd imagine it's a little bit harder to pick up on and notice this actually being there. Just off of memory it seems like they are usually behind the contestant and can do it pretty discreetly. I also assume there are guidelines they request from contestants about how to act (as in act like the camera isn't there if it isn't a confessional or direct interview). Would be hard to get good footage if a contestant was checking over their shoulder every 5-10 seconds to see if the camera pulled from them to look at something specific.

I'm guessing that after a few days the contestants are just used to the cameras capturing everything they do so they probably aren't paying much attention to them when they are focused on doing something like searching for an idol. I would imagine if you had someone shadowing you all the time you eventually just phase them out and don't even notice what they are doing

Thought of something over the weekend. Whoever win their way back from edge of extinction the remaining players would be wise to vote them off ASAP. Think about it, they have a huge advantage of basically living with the jury members and developing relationships with them this whole time while everyone else left has been voting them out. It's a new twist that has never played out before.

I know Devens said whoever comes back he hopes will vote with him but that could be tricky too

Predictions on the finale tonight? Throwing in this wild card of bringing back someone from extinction island makes it tougher because the next vote or 2 could really be affected by who that person is that gets back into the game. If that person is a challenge beast like Joe he could very well wind up in the finale by winning out immunity and then have all the relationships he built with the jury while on extinction to his advantage.

Just based off who is left now and how things have been edited lately here is my guess:

Winner: Gavin Personally I would like to see/hope that Devens win but unless he can win out immunity I don't see it happening because they all know he would win. It probably comes down to these 2 although the 3 women left would be smart to get them both out and make this a choice of which least deserving player left should win game.

Victoria and Julie - these are the 2 I would take. Julie has done nothing to get votes so anyone left should be keeping her around to the end at this point if they were playing smart. Victoria has basically done whatever Gavin does, I don't really remember anything specifically she has done this season that makes her stand out at this point. Lauren has a few friends on the jury but I don't see her as much of a threat to win either as several of them also don't think she does much either.

I think it will be Gavin, Devins or someone from the Edge. I don't think any of the three women left have a prayer of beating the two guys left, so yeah - the wild card will be the returning player. I am really really rooting for Devins to win, but everyone is gunning for him now. :( If he makes it to the final, I think the jury will give it to him based on the game he has played as someone on the bottom since his return.

On way Devens wins is he ends like Ben did. Just keep finding idols and then take the worst players to the final.

Ill take Gavin for the win. Unless someone is able to give a great sob story at the end to the jury. Like my mom died and I played for her or something. That sometimes works.

They've been setting this season up as a Devens win. I'm going with that.

Devins for sure has theatrical moments and the jury is hook line and sinker, but he's clueless in a lot of aspects. He generally is not on the right side of the vote and last week was almost more of a coincidence than his plan. He'll need to play the Ben Drebergen game to win this (unless the person coming back works with him). He's definitely not a bad player and I'd be happy if he won, but he's not as good as the show is making him either.

Someone like Victoria is much more impressive to me. Blindsided Aubrey early on. Then as of late, she's been able to jump ship week to week to be on the right side of the vote every time. Lauren has also done quite well considering her biggest allies have all been gone awhile. I'd really be fine with anyone winning besides Julie.
