I haven’t seen it on DVD yet, but I enjoyed it in the theatre. As a general rule, however, I find the DVD experience for movies like Superbad to be a little lacking. There is just something about movies like this that calls for it to be seen on a Friday night, in a theatre packed with moderately inebriated and excessively rowdy audience of mostly college students. I expect to find it less funny at home, but that I will still find it enjoyable.

I loved the movie. It was one of the funniest I've seen in a long time, simply because I thought it did a great job of showcasing the awkwardness of youth. Also because I love Michael Cera.

With that said, it did have a lot of unnecessary vulgarity. The period thing was way over the top.

Jonah Hill has the best facial expressions. Hands down, my favorite part of the movie is when Seth and Evan are walking off the bus in slow motion to the sound of Superbad and Fogel is approaching. It just cracks me up every time.

Thats part of the funniest because I know I swore just like that at that age, oh wait I still do, lol.

totally agree. I actually would have enjoyed more swearing. I think there is far too little swearing these days.

This is honestly the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life! As a guy in his mid 20's, I can totally releate to this movie. It does seem like conversation that I would have with my group of friends. Funniest line of the movie for me had to be when Jules said to Seth/Jonah "If you scratch our back we will scratch yours" Seth responds "the thing about my back is that it is on my ****". I think that line brought me to tears!

I thought that the movie was hilarious. The cops were easily the best and funniest characters. I did think that it drug on a little long. It could have ended after the party got busted and the cops hauled McLovin out of there. The rest could have been tied up during the credits.

I just watched this movie for the first time the other night and just loved it. Easily one of the best teenage sex-romp movies ever. Puts American Pie to shame. Judd Apatow is turning into the king of comedy right now. I have loved everything he has been associated with and am a big fan of the brilliant but cancelled tv series Freaks and Geeks. I highly recommend picking up the Freaks and Geeks series DVD if you liked this movie.

I thought the period part was beyond stuoid but I loved the movie. It did drag for awhile. Some of the dialogue was gut-splitting.

Man I loved the period part...I can just picture that scenario taking place at a party too.
