Chiefs would have won that game easily. Sucks that they were an offsides away from a Super Bowl victory.
Without a doubt, that was the worst Superbowl I've ever witnessed. Not only were either team among the two best, but neither was the officiating. The whole post season seemed to be pre-ordained. All the way up to the Superbowl logo (Oddly looks like LA III).

Winning rings is obviously the goal but Brady isn't the best QB ever. He's very successful but he has had some great defensive performances help him along the way.
Entire playoffs this year: 2 TDs and 3 INTs... He was a Dee Ford offside from a 1 TD 3 INT performance at KC.
Julian Edelman with the MVP is hilarious too. Let's award the guy who missed the first four games this year because of PEDs! Wooo!

It's disappointing that she has this many posts and is still not banned. Never one good thing to add to the conversation, and invariably starts in on the name calling.
Not an NFL fan at all. I am genuinely completely neutral and have never claimed a "team". I've lived in LA the past five years so if anything I might slightly have wanted LA to win.
I am a lifelong Chicago Bulls fan which has gone from being the easiest team to cheer for as a kid, teen and young adult to one of the hardest teams to cheer for the past 20 years in adulthood. I say this because I equate a lot of the knocks on Brady/Belicheck to people who dismiss and minimize the Jordan Bulls dynasty as "he pushed off" as if the entire dominant run was because of a foul that usually doesn't get called to cap it off. In other words, sour grapes.

If anyone is going to unseat the Patriots, I'm kind of glad it wasn't LA and their hundreds of fans. As grating as Philly fans can be, it's fun to watch a long suffering and loyal fan base get to celebrate like last year. Would the Rams have even bothered to plan a parade if they had won?

They went all-in this year and came up short. They have quite a few free agents and not enough money, and they gave up draft picks to get those guys too.

It'll get especially tough once they have to extend Goff's contract. I'd put him in Kirk Cousins' class. He's going to get paid like an elite QB even though he's not good enough to put a team on his shoulders. I do have to give him credit for the throw he made right before the fourth quarter INT, though. That was the best ball he threw all night and Cooks should have hauled it in for six. He does that and it's 10-10 with four minutes to go. But that's how it goes against the Pats. They force a team to execute and time after time the opponent comes up short.
There is no way I'm handing Goff a massive contract if I'm LA. Draft someone or get a free agent for half the price.
I am super nervous about KC giving Mahomes a massive deal. Massive QB deals ruin teams.
I would have no problem extending Mahomes, because he's good enough to take a so-so team and carry it in January. That's the difference between him and Goff. One guy can take the whole team to another level, and the other guy is only as good as the supporting cast around him.
Matter of fact, I would think about getting a long term extension for Mahomes done as soon as they're able (I think it's after the third year of the rookie deal) because the price tag is only going up on quarterbacks. Trade some short term flexibility for what will end up being a bargain deal by the last couple years of the second contract.

Brady is the best QB to ever play and Belichick is the best coach of all time. They do a pretty amazing job. I hope Mahomes is able to do half what they have done in 18 years. I would be ecstatic if they could.
Massive QB deals to bad QB's ruin teams. I do hope they can find a way to give him money on the side like the Pats have figured out with Brady. Find him a supermodel wife who makes millions maybe.
Yeah, it's hard to believe him or McVay when they keep saying there's nothing wrong with his knee. If that's true, there's no excuse for him only getting ten touches last night. In a grind it out game like that the boy genius McVay should have found a way to put the ball in Gurley's hands at least 25 times. Belichick had him flummoxed.
Mahomes is extension eligible after next year so summer 2020. He'll probably be coming off back to back MVPs and a Super Bowl win so his asking price is going to be ridiculous.

Yeah, there's something there. His utilization the last two games was very mysterious. I don't care what they say.
Without knowing their cap numbers I would say load up on what talent you can now, then extend Mahomes with a back loaded deal to hopefully get about 4 years of legitimate Super Bowl runs before you start having to bring in new young talent

Brady and Bellicheat are the best serial cheaters ever. Cheaters who break the rules are not worthy of respect. They lack morals and sportsmanship. Truly great athletes and coaches do not cheat to win. Brady and Bellicheat not worthy of respect. No such thing as Honor Before Victory. Culture of Cheating is rampant in the Patriots organization.
